Meet Dr. Lana
Discussions about life and the universe have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Since childhood, I have been fascinated by the mind ~ body connection and how our experience of life, our body’s performance and our academic, professional and mental performance are all impacted by our internal reality.

It has always appeared to me that so many of us are suffering from less than optimal mental and physical health, a general lack of happiness and a feeling of being on an endless hamster wheel that we just don’t know how to get off.
Why would some athletes get injured and others not? Why would some people appear to be greatly impacted by various life events and others not so much? Why would one person have anxiety, another depression and another seem to have neither?
The personal injuries I sustained during my elite sporting career only added fuel to the fire of these questions.
This curiosity lead me to study concurrently to become a Doctor of Chiropractic and an energetic pyschology practitioner, as well as travel all over the globe to study with some of the most amazing minds in the neuroscience, consciousness and mind / body connection field. After learning many techniques and modalities, a phone call with my sister who had just learnt to meditate in NYC lead me to learn Vedic Meditation.
More About Me
My scientific mind was fascinated by how profoundly different the daily stresses of life felt in my body and how differently I could meet the challenges of daily life – I was able to ADAPT rather than REACT in situations which would have once created ruminating thoughts and discomfort.
My health and happiness had become palpably different just by practicing this simple, easy technique for minutes each day.
My desire to become a qualified teacher of Vedic Meditation was ignited when I met Thom Knoles (Maharishi Vyasanand Saraswati) in the foothills of the Himalayas several months after learning to meditate. I knew I had found the knowledge I had been searching for and also the practical technique to be able to offer this profound change to those around me.

After immersing myself in the pre-requisite study of Vedic Knowledge and several interviews later - I was accepted to become a teacher of Vedic Meditation. I spent 5 months in India and undertook an intensive 3 month long initiator training with Thom Knoles - preeminent Master of, and leading authority on Vedic Meditation.
I am one of only 3 Vedic Meditation Teachers (initiators) in Perth, Western Australia who was trained and graduated under the guidance and blessing of the His Holiness, Shri Shri 1008 Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Swami Kailashanand Giri, Supreme Authority of the Vedic Tradition.
My life is now dedicated to sharing this simple and life changing technique with the global community.
I believe that suffering is optional and happiness is our birthright,
we merely need the knowledge and tools to cultivate this internal state.
I’d love to show you how.
